MXD #004 – MEDIATE

For the fourth installment of our ‘MXD’ series we are pleased to introduce Mediate – an electronic music duo hailing from Manchester making bold, catchy jams and certainly one to watch for 2016.

1 part producer, 1 part vocalist – The concept provides a fresh, welcome addition to the Electronic landscape and the duo have already gathered major support from all corners of the industry, from Pete Tong, B Traits and Monki to Ben Pearce, Eton Messy and Clean Bandit, their infectious House-Garage sound tinged with Chicago, New York and Detroit influences.

The pair are keeping busy between the studio and preparing a full live show, with current release ‘What You Do’ [Love & Other] storming dancefloors across the country. 2016 is set to be an exciting year for these two and we’re delighted to have them on board for the series!

MXD #002 – Kalix

Number two in our mix series has landed! This time we call upon the talents of 1001 regular Kalix and let him take us on a House-heavy journey with flavours ranging from rolling, quantized Tech House through to pure Acid numbers.

Kalix

Not many DJs can say they’ve supported R&B Superstar Usher on his 2011 OMG tour, seamlessly mixing RnB, Hip-Hop and House music.. Meet Kalix, a London-based DJ and producer making all kinds of waves.

A regular on the London scene, having supported some of the most influential players on the circuit and done the works (Egg, Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Fabric, even Notting Hill Carnival), Kalix has launched Sucasa – A day-to-night party featuring cutting-edge electronic music, consistently strong lineups and attracting a fun-loving crowd.

His passion and dedication to music fuel his energetic and eclectic sets and give his production that extra something. With releases on Flat7, Minar Records, Paranormal Traxx and most recently I Can’t (release date 1st Ocober 2015) forthcoming on New York’s Karmic Power Records.

Born Freak
DJ, Producer and head honcho of Freak Trix Records, the genre-defying Born Freak is hotly tipped as one of the rising stars of Dance music. Born Freak, aka. Kasra Mossayeri, is making waves in the inner sanctums of Electronic Dance Music after exploding onto the scene in July 2012 when his debut release, “Cocktail Bar”, was featured on the highly successful Mau5trap compilation album, “We Are Friends: Volume 1.” It still remains the third most downloaded track from the album and, after much acclaim. His genre-bending blend of electro, techno and house has seen him ear-marked for great things over the coming months. Sit tight and Keep it locked!
